Navigating the journey from Conservative Christianity to:
Freedom
Truth
Peace
Virtually instructing and coaching women who desire to live spiritually free, mentally well, and emotionally healthy so they are SAFE and still have their faith.
Creating Content that frees women from the deception of conservative Christian churches by exposing what God REALLY said.
Thank you for visiting my website.
It was in my early forties, just after my husband had died, that men in my church began to pressure me to do what they deemed best for my family. The pressure on top of losing my husband became unbearable, and I had no choice but to leave my church due to manipulation and control.
In this free booklet, Five Things I Wish I Had Known Before Leaving a Manipulative Church.
What clients say…
“I’ve learned more from her in few minutes than I learned from my therapist. ”
“Working with Melodi is like finding help from a knowledgeable friend. She gave support as I grieved and healed.”
“She made the concepts I needed easy to understand and warmly invited me to heal.”
“She was supportive and understood me. I felt seen and heard”
I am passionate about helping women who have been hurt in church or spiritually. I want to help them to live free from anxiety, depression, and the deep pain of spiritual harm.
Because of this I create free resources to help women who are in spiritually manipulative, controlling or hurtful places.

“They have healed the wound of my people lightly, saying, ‘Peace, peace,’ where there is no peace.”
— Jeremiah 6:13
Sometimes, in church, women are expected to fix the situation even when it is not their fault. Therefore, it is wise to seek help from a mental health professional.
I serve as a Trauma-Informed Mental Health Christian Coach.
Here are some reasons to work with me:
I have also lived in a conservative setting for more than 20 years.
I went to an Independent Fundamental Baptist Church for more than a decade.
I checked the boxes: home-schooling, wearing dresses to my ankles, only listening to hymns, and anything else I thought made me more pleasing to God.
God helped me navigate away from legalism.
My experience taught me so much, but I would like to share those experiences so that you don’t have to learn by trial and error.
It was a Sunday morning when God showed me how I had put those things before Him. This broke my heart. I never want anything to come before Him. But this was just the beginning of my journey.
Only months before, my husband had died in an auto accident. While he was living, I was protected from other men in the church, but now they could put pressure on me to conform to the implied man-made rules. It was either do what they said or leave.
I will always choose to follow Jesus, so we left.
Panic, anxiety, and being overwhelmed, but as the days passed, the oppression began to lift and then breath.
I didn’t know I wasn’t breathing.
Ultimately, I would have to move 2 hours away to get the church people to stop badgering my kids, but eventually, we were free.
Working with me means you will have a safe, confidential place to process the hurt you have experienced.
