When Ministry Leaders Require More Than God: Daystar Leaders Fire an Employee

"You work for this leader, so do what she says."

Those were the chilling words spoken in a newly released audio recording from Daystar, where Joni Lamb and another male leader were caught manipulating an employee.

In the conversation, the male leader tells the employee:

🗣️ "You said your job was to talk about God. But that’s not your job; your job is to do what she (Joni Lamb) says."

The employee pushes back:

🗣️ "Even if it goes against my convictions?"

And the male leader responds:

🗣️ "If your convictions are so strong, you must quit."

Let that sink in.

If you’ve ever been pressured to obey a leader’s voice over God’s, you know the confusion and shame that follows. Maybe you’ve been told your heart is deceitful when you questioned authority. Maybe you’ve been accused of rebellionfor speaking up.

This conversation exposes how spiritual leaders twist submission into control—and why so many Christians struggle to break free.

🔹 How do leaders use obedience to manipulate?
🔹 What are the red flags of spiritual coercion?

If something in your faith journey has never sat right with you, you’re not alone. It’s time to unpack the truth—and find the freedom God intended for you.
