Processing the Harm of Mother’s Day

If your body does not feel well after church, this may be an indication of an abusive environment. That headache. That tension in your jaw. The knot in your stomach after Sunday service. It’s not just “in your head." Your body remembers what your mind has tried to ignore. If church leaves you exhausted or anxious week after week, it may be that your body has been warning you that something is not okay at church.
