Spiritual abuse is often quiet. It doesn’t always come with yelling or harsh commands. Sometimes, it comes cloaked in obedience, wrapped in church language, and dressed up as faithfulness. But behind it is something far more harmful: control, coercion, and the slow erasure of your voice.

In this post, I want to talk about what happens when women in legalistic churches are taught to disappear in the name of “submission.” I’ll share my story—how I was slowly erased, and how God gently brought me back to life.
