Depression

Depression has happened since the beginning of time, yet often those struggling with depression do not recognize it.

Depression can happen to anyone.

Signs that you could be struggling with depression:

  • If you feel down or sad more days than not..

  • If you have lost interest in something that you once enjoyed.

  • If you don’t find pleasure in what used to be pleasurable.

If you have one of the previous symptoms then keep going….

Hold up 5 fingers.  Put one finger down each time you say yes to the following questions:

  • Do you feel down, sad or blue more than not?

  • Are you experiencing a loss of interest or pleasure?

  • Have you lost more than 5% of your weight recently because you have no appetite?

    • That means…

      • Of 100 pounds you have lost 5 pounds.

      • Of 200 pounds you have lost 10 pounds.

      • Of 50 pounds you have lost 2.5 pounds.

  • Do you struggle with not being able to sleep?

  • Do you struggle with excessive sleepiness?

  • Do you feel like your thoughts are foggy?

  • Are your words or actions slowed?

  • Do you struggle with fatigue?

  • Are you unable to concentrate?

  • Do you struggle with thoughts of worthlessness?

  • Do you struggle with excessive guilt?

  • Are you experiencing thoughts of suicide or death?

If you put 5 fingers down then you may meet the criteria for a depressive disorder.  Don’t stay here alone.  Call me for a free 30 minute phone consultation, so we can determine if I can help you.  If I cannot then I will help you find a professional who can…
